Who we are:
South Bay Independent Physicians Medical Group,
Inc. is a professional group with a membership of over 460 doctors and physicians.
Founded in 1983 to support and promote the independent, private practice of
medicine to the betterment of the health care delivery system for its members
and their patients.
Goals:
1.) To obtain the best possible PPO contract for SBIP
members.
2.) To obtain delegated credentialing from all possible payors, streamlining
the waiting period for new members.
3.) To be recognized as an organization that will intercede on behalf
of its members with any contracted payor on UR or claims appeals in order to
assure fair hearings.
4.) To acquire the most contractual arrangements that provide the physicians
and patients control of medical decisions.

WILLIAM T. ROSS |

Mr. Ross brought to SBIP over eighteen years of managed healthcare experience having worked in numerous segments of the managed care marketplace. As a result of his expertise in the field of managed care, Mr. Ross is a frequent speaker at national and regional health care meetings. Academically, Mr. Ross completed his graduate work at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, with a Masters degree in Finance, Hospital and Health Services Management and a Certificate of Professional Accounting.

Ms. DiLeva's professional activities include member of the
National Notary Association, member of the Legislative Committee for the American
Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO) and member of the
American Management Association. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health
Care Administration and a Masters of Public Health degree from California
State University, Long Beach.

Samm M. List, CPHQ CPCS is the Director of Finance and Member Services at South Bay Independent Physicians Medical Group, Inc. (SBIP). Ms. List has more than 23 years of experience in health care quality management and administration encompassing the areas of hospital, private practice and preferred provider settings. Ms. List joined SBIP in 1993 and has been responsible for implementing and managing the restructuring of the organization's accounting processes and initiating cost effective administrative procedures; she has also been instrumental in the growth of the membership to its present size of more than four hundred fifty (450) members.
As Director of Finance and Member Services, Ms. List is responsible for directing and overseeing all of the accounting and financial reporting functions of the medical group as well as managing SBIP's member service functions and association type benefit programs for the organization's membership. Ms. List also manages a variety of other projects relevant to SBIP's administration and services, along with supervising the human resources functions for the corporation. Additionally, Ms.List is the Associate Editor and Design-Production Specialist for SBIP's newsletter as well as coordinator for special functions, events and activities for the membership group.
